1. Major Jason C.R. Neufeld, CD. will be retiring from the CAF on 13 May 2019 just shy of completing 28 years of service. A graduate of RMC and the Joint Command and Staff Program, he has alternated between command and operations staff positions through most of his career. He has enjoyed postings to DLCSPM, 742 Sig Sqn, 1 CDHSR, CFJSR, CEFCOM, 70 COMM GP, 76 COMM GP, LFWA, and CFS Leitrim. He has deployed overseas twice during his career, once to open Op ATHENA in Afghanistan and more recently to Kuwait in support of Op IMPACT. He was also involved in several domestic Operations including Op ABACUS, RECUPERATION, CADENCE, and LUSTRE.
2. While he has greatly enjoyed all of his postings and positions, career highlights definitely include his two years as DCO CFS Leitrim, two and half years as COS 70 Comm Gp and his four different stops at 1 CDHSR/CFJSR.
3. Jason would like to thank all his military and civilian brothers and sisters that he had the pleasure to serve with, learn from and compete against. He also wants to take this opportunity to apologize to all the hockey officials and defensemen he has abused throughout his “second” hockey career.
4. Jason, Robin and their son Gregory will be remaining in the Kingston Area where Jason will take his hard lessons learned in IT Operations to Queen’s University.
