1. MAJOR BILL CAMPSALL WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 07 JANUARY 2020, AFTER COMPLETING OVER 33 YRS OF DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE CAF, THE CA AND THE RCCS.

2. BILL GREW UP IN TAMWORTH, ONTARIO BEFORE HEADING OUT TO EXPLORE THE WORLD. HE WORKED FOR NORTHERN TELECOM AND AS A DJ FOR A BARRIE RADIO STATION PRIOR TO JOINING THE CAF. IN 1986 BILL ENROLLED IN TORONTO AND HEADED TO CORNWALLIS WHERE HE SPENT MOST OF BOOTCAMP SHOVELING SNOW. TRAINED AS A TELETYPE AND CRYPTO TECHNICIAN 223 BILL WORKED SEVERAL YEARS PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THE UNIVERSITY TRAINING PROGRAM FOR NCMS. HE COMPLETED HIS ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEGREE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF MANITOBA AND TRANSFERRED TO THE OFFICER CORP AS A SIGNALS OFFICER.

3. MAJ CAMPSALL SERVED IN TRENTON, MASSET, WINNIPEG, COLORADO SPRINGS WITH NORAD, CFC TORONTO AND SEVERAL POSTINGS IN KINGSTON. HE DEPLOYED WITH CFJSR TO OP APOLLO IN 2003 IN UAE AND TO SUDAN AND DARFUR ON OP CROCODILE IN 2009.

4. BILL PLANS ON REMAINING IN KINGSTON, ONTARIO AFTER RETIRING AND USING HIS FREE TIME TO IMPROVE HIS GUITAR PLAYING AND COMPLETING NUMEROUS OUTSTANDING HOME RENOVATIONS. HE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO SPENDING MORE TIME AT THE LAKE AND TRAVELLING TO VISIT FRIENDS AND FAMILY. BILL AND DAINA PLAN ON SPENDING TIME IN WARMER CLIMATES DURING THE WINTERS AND ENJOYING EVERY DAY OF RETIREMENT.

5. A DEPARTURE WITH DIGNITY CEREMONY IS PLANNED FOR 29 NOV 2019 AT THE WARRANT OFFICER AND SERGEANTS MESS, PANJWAI ROOM IN CFB KINGSTON 1330 HRS.
