1. MCPL DON KENNEDY, DON WILL RELEASE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 20 FEBRUARY 2024, AFTER 32 PLUS YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA, THE ROYAL CANADIAN CORPS OF SIGNALS AND THE BEST TRADE, THE LINE TRADE.

2. DON WAS SWORN IN AT THE VICTORIA RECRUITMENT CENTER JULY 1990 WHERE HE BEGAN HIS CAREER WITH THE COMMUNICATION RESERVE IN VICTORIA AND THEN OFF TO EDMONTON. EVEN THEN HE COULDN’T SIT STILL. IN AUG 1994 HE SAW THE LIGHT AND TRANSFERRED TO REGULAR FORCE, WHERE AFTER SURVIVING BATTLE SCHOOL HE WAS POSTED WITH 2 RCR UNTIL AUG 1997.  AUG 1998 TO SEP 2000, DON TOOK A BREATHER AND WAS AGAIN A MEMBER OF THE COMMUNICATION RESERVE IN HALIFAX, WHERE HE COMPLETED THE QL3 LINEMAN COURSE IN 1999 AND THE QL5 IN 2000.  SEPT 2000 HE TRANSFERRED BACK TO THE REGULAR FORCE, BUT THIS TIME DID IT RIGHT AND AS A LINEMAN (052!!). FROM SEPT 2000 – MAR 2004 HE SPENT SOME TIME AT CFJSR WITH 1 LINE SQN. THEN MOVED AROUND A BIT, FROM MAR 2004 – MAR 2009 HE WAS POSTED TO BASE HALIFAX.  MAR 2009 – AUG 2015, HE RETURNED to 1 LINE.  AUG 2015 – JUL 2018, DID SOME HARD TIME AT 2 SERVICE BN IN PETAWAWA.  IN JUL 2018 – APR 2022, HE BROKE OUT OF 2 SERVICE BN AND HE MISSED HIS OLD SQN SO MUCH HE WENT BACK TO 1 LINE SQN.  IN APR 2022 HE STOPPED THE CYCLE, LAID SOME ROOTS AND WAS POSTED TO CFSCE WHERE HE WILL BE RETIRING FROM.

3. AFTER DOING PROJECTS AND DEPLOYMENTS FROM COAST TO COAST TO COAST AND AROUND THE WORLD, DON, HIS SPOUSE ANN AND THEIR CHILDREN ASHLYNN, KIANNA AND BRYANT HAVE DECIDED TO REMAIN IN KINGSTON ONTARIO WHERE DON LOOKS TO A NEW CAREER AND ACHEIVING HIS FUTURE GOALS.
