RETIREMENT – MASTER WARRANT OFFICER MICHAEL CLARKE – 00384, LINE TECH

Retirement Date: April 19, 2024

1. MWO CLARKE WILL BE RETIRING ON 19 APRIL 2024, AFTER 32+ YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CAF IN TWO DIFFERENT OCCUPATIONS.

2. HIS WORK IN THE CAF HAS TAKEN HIM AROUND THE GLOBE, AND WHILE IT WAS INTERESTING AND EXCITING, HE NEVER DEFINED HIS CAREER BY HIS JOB OR TITLE, BUT BY THE VALUE OF THE EXPERIENCE FOUND IN THOSE YOU SHARE IT WITH, AND IT WAS THOSE PEOPLE THAT MADE THE TIME SPENT AND THE GOALS ACHIEVED SO WORTHWHILE AND MEMORABLE.

3. WHILE DEPLOYED OPERATIONALLY AND DOMESTICALLY, MIKE LEARNED FROM HIS COLLEAGUES AND TRULY VALUED TIME SPENT WITH THEM. HUMBLED BY THE EXPERTISE AND PROFESSIONALISM OF THOSE WITH WHOM HE SERVED, HE WILL MISS THE CAMARADERIE AND SENSE OF SHARED PURPOSE THAT IS SO INTEGRAL TO CAF MEMBERSHIP.

4. MWO CLARKE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK EACH AND EVERYONE WITH WHOM HE HAS SERVED WITH AND GUIDANCE THAT THEY HAVE PROVIDED TO ALLOW HIM TO PROGRESS AND SERVE FOR AS LONG AS HE HAS.

5. WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF HIS WIFE (RET’ CAPT) LIZA TZOTZOS, WHO HAD SUPPORTED AND ENCOURAGED HIM THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER, FOR WHICH HE IS MOST GRATEFUL AND THANKFUL FOR. HE WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED IN AS LONG AS HE DID WITHOUT HER SUPPORT. MIKE AND HIS WIFE LIZA ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO A BIT OF REST AND RELAXATION. THIER ONLY CONFIRMED PLANS INCLUDE TRAVELLING AND SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY.

6. THERE WILL BE NO FORMAL DWD, BUT MIKE HOPES TO QUIETLY CELEBRATE WITH FRIENDS AND FORMER COLLEAGUES.

7. FAREWELL MESSAGES, ANECDOTES, HALF TRUTHS AND OUTRIGHT LIES MAY BE SENT TO [email protected]
