1. MASTER CORPORAL KENT L. HENNIGAR WILL BE RETIRING FROM THE CAF ON 1 DEC 2020 WITH 18 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA, THE CAF, THE ROYAL CANADIAN CORPS OF SIGNALS AND MOST NOTABLY THE LINE TRADE.
2. MCPL HENNIGAR ENROLLED IN THE SIGNALS CORPS ON 10 SEPT 2002 AS A LINEMAN, AND ONCE HE COMPLETED TRAINING AT CFSCE, HE WAS POSTED TO 2 CANADIAN MECHANIZED BRIGADE GROUP HEADQUARTERS AND SIGNAL SQUADRON IN PETAWAWA IN 2004. AFTER A SHORT POSTING IN PETAWAWA, HE WAS POSTED TO CANADIAN FORCES JOINT SIGNAL REGIMENT IN 2007 WHERE HE DEPLOYED ON OP GRIFFON WITH THE DART TEAM IN JAN 2008. IN 2009 HE DEPLOYED ON OP PODIUM FOR THE JTF GAMES. UPON HIS RETURN FROM AFGANISTAN IN 2013, HE WAS PROMOTED TO MCPL. IN 2014 HE WAS POSTED BACK TO PETAWAWA 2 CMBG HQ & SIGS SQN. IN 2015 MCPL HENNIGAR WAS POSTED TO 5 LINE SQN IN HALIFAX N.S. AS A LINE DET COMMANDER WITH LLWC.
3. MCPL HENNIGAR COMPLETED OVERSEAS TOURS TO AFGANISTAN WITH JOINT TASK FORCE REGIONAL COMMAND (SOUTH) ROTO 8 IN 2010 AND OP ATTENTION ROTO 2, 2012 -2013.
4. MCPL HENNIGAR’S FAMILY SUPPORTED HIM THROUGHT HIS MILITARY CAREER: ELIZABETH RHODDY AND HIS SON AIDAN.
