1. MASTER CORPORAL MARK FLOOD WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES WITH 8 PLUS YEARS OF SERVICE.

2. INITIALLY POSTED TO TRENTON IN 2012, FOLLOWING HIS GRADUATION FROM ATIS TECH QL3, HE MADE HIS MARK AS AN EXCELLENT TECH WHILE RECEIVING MULTIPLE AWARDS. AS A WTISS RED NETWORKS TECHNICIAN, HE RECEIVED THE C&E BRANCH “MEMBER OF THE YEAR” AWARD IN 2015. PLATNIUM FITNESS ENTHUSIAST, HE WON THE WTISS FITNESS AWARD IN 2016 AND COMPETED IN BALL HOCKEY AND ICE HOCKEY NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR THE TRENTON FLYERS.

3. DEPLOYED AS AN X-RAY MACHINE TECHNICIAN ON OP PROVISION IN BEIRUT, LEBANON IN 2015, HE ENJOYED HIS TIME OFF DRINKING BEERS AND EATING SHAWARMAS.

4. POSTED TO CFSU (COLORADO SPRINGS) IN THE SUMMER OF 2016, AS A NETWORK TECHNICIAN, HE WORKED HARD TO UPGRADE THE NETWORKS. ACTIVE IN THE CANADIAN COMMUNITY IN COLORADO SPRINGS, HE ENJOYED COACHING KIDS HOCKEY, AND AS THE PRESIDENT OF THE NORAD CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE FOR THE 2018/2019 SEASON, HE RECEIVED THE CANADIAN COMMUNITY AWARD IN 2019 FOR HIS VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES.

5. WHILE POSTED TO CFSU (CS), MCPL FLOOD GRADUATED FROM ATHABASCA UNIVERSITY IN 2018 WITH A BACHELOR OF SCIENCE AND UPGRADED HIS JOB KNOWLEDGE BY CERTIFIING IN CCNA, CISSP AND PMP.

6. MCPL FLOOD AND HIS WIFE REBECCA ENJOY TRAVELING AND RAISING THEIR THREE DAUGHTERS, AGES 9, 4 AND 2.

Congratulations son. Your big extended family are all so proud of you. Hockey is a great vehicle. One of the best Canadian examples of hard work, discipline, learning to accept the tough ones graciously and the achievements with humility.
