1. MASTER CORPORAL MATT WATERS WILL BE RETIRING FROM THE RCAF ON 15 APRIL 2020, AFTER 10+ YEARS OF SERVICE.

2. MCPL WATERS JOINED THE CAF ON 29 SEPTEMBER 2009, AS AN ATIS TECHNICIAN, AT THE AGE OF 21. AFTER COMPLETING HIS TRAINING AT CFB SAINT-JEAN AND CFB KINGSTON, HE WAS POSTED TO 12 WING SHEARWATER IN AUGUST 2011. HE WAS INITIALLY EMPLOYED AS A HELPDESK REPRESENTATIVE, AND UPON SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING THE ATIS QL5 COURSE, HE WAS EMPLOYED IN THE COMMAND AND MISSION SUPPORT SECTION. DURING THE SUMMER OF 2016, HE DEPLOYED TO ALI-AL-SALAM KUWAIT, IN SUPPORT OF OP IMPACT. UPON RETURNING FROM OP IMPACT, HE WAS POSTED ATESS AS AN ATIS QL5 INSTRUCTOR. IN 2019, MCPL WATERS WAS ONCE AGAIN POSTED TO 12 WING SHEARWATER, UNTIL HIS RELEASE ON 15 APRIL 2020.

3. MATT WILL NOT BE GOING FAR AS HE WAS ABLE TO SECURE EMPLOYMENT WITH SHARED SERVICES CANADA, AS NETWORK SERVICES TECHNICIAN.

4. A LUNCHEON FOR MCPL WATERS WILL BE HELD TO CELEBRATE HIS SERVICE TO THE CAF. LOCATION, DATE, AND TIMING WILL BE AT 1130 ON 9 APRIL 2020, AT THE MICMAC TAVERN IN DARTMOUTH, NS. ALL WHO KNOW MATT ARE WELCOMED TO ATTEND.
