1. AFTER 34 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA, MASTER CORPORAL RANDALL (RANDY) ARSENAULT’S LAST DAY IN UNIFORM WILL BE 25 NOVEMBER 2021.
2. MCPL ARSENAULT COMPLETED HIS QL3 AIR WEAPONS SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN TRAINING IN JUNE 1989. HE WAS THEN POSTED TO 1 AIR MAINTENANCE SQUADRON IN BADEN, GERMANY FOLLOWED BY POSTINGS TO 421 SQN AND 439 SQN UNTIL THE BASE CLOSED. IN 1993, HE WAS POSTED TO 441 TACTICAL FIGHTING SQN AT 4 WING COLD LAKE. IN 1999, HE DEPLOYED TO AVIANO, ITALY IN SUPPORT OF NATO OPERATION ECHO – YUGOSLAVIA. LOOKING FOR MORE ADVENTURE MCPL ARSENAULT DECIDED TO CHANGE TRADES TO ATIS TECHNICAN AND BECAME QUALIFIED IN MAY 2001. IN 2003, MCPL ARSENAULT WAS POSTED TO 17 WING WINNIPEG AS THE RED NETWORKS WAN/LAN TECH. IN 2006, HE DEPLOYED IN SUPPORT OF JTF-AFGHANISTAN, AND WAS APPOINTED MCPL. IN 2007, HE WAS POSTED TO 8 AIR COMBAT SERVICE SUPPORT SQUADRON AND WAS EMPLOYED AS THE DESK TOP SUPERVISOR, NETWORK 2 I/C AND LINE INSIDE PLANT SUPERVISOR. IN 2012, HE WAS PROMOTED TO SERGEANT, POSTED TO ATESS WHERE HE WAS EMPLOYED AS THE CST SUPERVISOR AND AFD NET SUPERVISOR. IN 2016, SGT ARSENAULT DECIDED TO COMPONENT TRANSFER TO THE RESERVES AND TOOK A RESERVIST OPPORTUNITY AT THE RCAF AEROSPACE WARFARE CENTRE (RAWC) AT CFB TRENTON. DURING THE LAST 5 YEARS MCPL ARSENAULT HAS PROVIDED OUTSTANDING IT SUPPORT ACROSS THE RAWC FORMATION AS AN IT HELP DESK TECHNICIAN.
3. MCPL ARSENAULT’S RETIREMENT PLANS CONSISTS OF KEEPING BUSY IN THE QUINTE WEST AREA WITH HIS SPOUSE SANDRA. THEY LOOK FORWARD TO KAYAKING, TRAVELLING, HIKING AND GOLFING.
4. THERE WILL NOT BE A FORMAL DWD EVENT FOR THE RETIREMENT. A VERY SMALL SEND OFF WILL OCCUR, BY INVITE ONLY.
