1. AFTER 40+ YEARS OF DEDICATION AND COMMITMENT AS A MEMBER OF THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES AND AS A PUBLIC SERVANT, MR. W. LEE WILL BE RETIRING ON JANUARY 12, 2018.

2. MR. W. LEE JOINED THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES IN AUGUST 1976, FROM CARLYLE, SASKATCHEWAN AND ATTENDED THE ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE KINGSTON WHERE HE GRADUATED AS AN LORE OFFICER IN 1980. WAYNE SERVED AS THE UNIT MAINTENANCE OFFICER AND TECHNICAL ADJUTANT WITH 1 RCHA IN GERMANY. HE ALSO HELD OTHER REGIMENTAL AND STAFF POSITIONS PRIOR TO JOINING THE MASIS PROJECT IN 1995. ADM(MAT) GROUPED THE ARMY, AIR FORCE AND NAVY ENGINEERING AND MAINTENANCE UNDER A SINGLE PROJECT, MASIS (LATER RENAMED TO DRMIS). WAYNE, AS A SERVING EME OFFICER, BECAME THE ARMY REPRESENTATIVE AND SOLUTION MANAGER ON THIS PROJECT,. WAYNE RETIRED FROM THE CANADIAN FORCES IN 2004 AND JOINED THE PUBLIC SERVICE, RETAINING THE ROLE OF SOLUTION MANAGER. AS A PUBLIC SERVANT, WAYNE, IN HIS ROLE AS DRMIS SOLUTION MANAGER, PROVIDED LEADERSHIP AND GUIDANCE IN THE DESIGN AND DELIVERY OF THE DRMIS SOLUTION.

3. IN HIS RETIREMENT, MR. W. LEE WILL BE LEVERAGING HIS VAST SOLUTION KNOWLEDGE TO PURSUE AN OPPORTUNITY WITH SAP WORKING ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SAP IN THE AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCE.

4. A RETIREMENT LUNCHEON IS BEING HELD ON JAN 15, 2018, AT THE ROYAL OAK, 117 CENTREPOINTE DRIVE, OTTAWA AT 13:00 WITH MEMORIES AND MAYBE SOME LAUGHS (AT MR. W. LEE’S EXPENSE OF COURSE) BEING SHARED. THIS WILL BE A MINGLING OPPORTUNITY AND AN RSVP IS NOT REQUIRED.
