1. MASTER WARRANT OFFICER JEAN-FRANÇOIS GODIN WILL BE RETIRING FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 07 SEP 2020 AFTER 30+ YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO HIS COUNTRY.

2. MWO GODIN ENROLLED AS A TELETYPE OPERATOR IN CHICOUTIMI, QUEBEC IN DECEMBER 1989. DURING HIS CAREER HE SERVED AT 8 WING TRENTON, 3 WING BAGOTVILLE. HE THEN BECAME SIG OP WITH THE AMALGAMATION OF RADOP AND TELOP AND SERVED AT 2CMBG HQ & SIGS PETAWAWA, CANSOFCOM HQ AND JTF2 AS AN ACISS. HE SERVED IN NAPLES, ITALY WITH THE 2 NATO SIGNALS BATTALION AND IS PRESENTLY WITH 7 COMM GP HQ AS THE WATCH MWO FOR THE DEFSOC.

3. MWO GODIN SERVED UNDER UNPROFOR IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA IN 1994/95, AND COMPLETED 2 TOURS IN AFGHANISTAN; ONE AS ROTO 0 IN KABUL 2003 / 2004 AND THE SECOND IN KAF 2008/2009 AS TACNET I/C UNDER ISAF.

4. JEAN-FRANÇOIS IS LOOKING TO START A NEW CHAPTER OF HIS LIFE WITH HIS WIFE SAMANTA AND TWO DAUGHTERS: TABATHA AND MAYA. HE WILL BE TRANSITIONING TO THE PUBLIC SERVICE AND WILL CONTINUE WORKING IN THE DND.

5. DUE TO COVID-19, ALL CELEBRATIONS WILL BE PLACED ON HOLD AND HE HOPES TO HAVE THEM AT A LATER DATE. MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW.
