1. MASTER WARRANT OFFICER SÉBASTIEN TURGEON FROM ADM(IM)/DGIMTSP/DIMEI, WILL BE RETIRING FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (CAF) ON MAY 4TH 2022 AFTER 22 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH THE II, CANADA AND THE ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE.

2. MWO TURGEON WAS BORN IN QUÉBEC, QUÉBEC. HE JOINED THE CAF ON APRIL 18TH 2000 FROM MONTRÉAL AND PROCEEDED A FEW WEEKS AFTER TO CFLRS SAINT-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU FOR BASIC TRAINING. AFTER COMPLETION OF BASIC TRAINING, HE MOVED ON TO THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATIOSN AND ELECTRONICS (CFSCE) AT CFB KINGSTON FOR THE POET COURSE AND THE ATIS TECH QL3.

3. UPON GRADUATING FROM THE ATIS TECH QL3 IN 2002, HIS FIRST POSTING WAS IN TRENTON AT THE AEROSPACE TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING SUPPORT SQUADRON (ATESS). AT ATESS HE WORKED AS A 3RD LINE MAINTENANCE TECH ON SEVERAL AGING AIRFIELD EQUIPMENT AND SPENT MOST OF HIS TIME THERE AS A TEAM MEMBER OF THE INSTALLATION CREWS TRAVELLING THE COUNTRY (MOSTLY COLD LAKE OVER AND OVER AGAIN) AND VISITING MOST AIRFIELD TO INSTALL NEW EQUIPMENT.

4. IN 2007, HE WAS PROMOTED TO MCPL AND WAS POSTED TO 3 WING BAGOTVILLE WHERE HE AGAIN WORKED IN THE AIRFIELD, THE GROUND COMMS WORKSHOP AND THE TELEPHONY SECTION.

5. AFTER BEGGING (MOSTLY HARRASING THE MWO) TO DEPLOY SOMEWHERE, HE WAS FINALLY DEPLOYED FOR A 6 MONTHS TOUR AT ISAF JOINT COMMAND, KABUL, AFGHANISTAN IN 2010. SHORTLY AFTER RETURNING FROM THIS TOUR, HE WAS PROMOTED TO SGT AND EMPLOYED AS THE TELECOM SUPERVISOR.

6. IN JULY 2012, HE WAS POSTED TO NAPLES, ITALY WHERE FOR THE FIRST 9 MONTHS HE WAS EMPLOYED AS A TECH AT THE NATO MARTIME COMMAND HQ ON THE BEAUTIFUL NISIDA ISLAND. WHEN THE NATO MARITIME COMMAND HQ MOVED TO ENGLAND, HE WAS THE TRANSFERED TO THE 2ND NATO SIGNAL BATAILLON (2 NSB), WORKING AS THE MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT COMPANY CHIEF OF OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE FOR THE REST OF HIS TIME IN ITALY.

7. AS A MEMBER OF 2 NSB, HE DEPLOYED TO TURKEY IN 2013 AS PART OF OP ACTIVE FENCE, BEING THE ONLY CAF MEMBER IN SUPPORT OF A BATAILLON OF US ARMY AIR DEFENSE ARTILLERY WHERE HE WAS EASILY DISTINGUASHABLE BEING THE ONLY ONE IN ARID CADPAT AMONGST ROUGHLY 200 US ARMY MEMBERS DRESSED IN GRAY BDU.

8. IN JULY 2016, HE WAS POSTED BACK TO 3 WING BAGOTVILLE AS THE C4ISR WO. WHILE STILL IN BAGOTVILLE, HE DEPLOYED A THIRD TIME IN 2018 FOR OP IMPACT IN KUWAIT AS THE TELECOM SUPPORT UNIT WO.

9. IMMEDIATLEY UPON RETURNING FROM OP IMPACT, HE WAS PROMOTED TO HIS ACTUAL RANK OF MWO AND TOOK OVER THE TELECOM FLIGHT SWO POSITION UNTIL HE GOT POSTED TO OTTAWA AT ADM (IM) IN JULY 2019. IN OTTAWA, HE WORKED A FEW MONTHS AS THE MICROWAVE LCMM BEFORE JOINING THE CANADIAN DEFENSE RED SWITCH NETWORK (CDRSN) TECHNICAL AUTHORITY TEAM.

10. WHILE WORKING WITH ADM (IM) / DGIMTSP / DIMEI, HE WAS OFFERED A PUBLIC SERVANT POSITION AND DECIDED TO STAY IN THE NCR, SWITCH HIS UNIFORM FOR CIVILIAN CLOTHING AND STAY IN THE NCR.
