1. PETTY OFFICER FIRST CLASS MARY HALL WILL BE RETIRING FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 22 FEBRUARY 2022 AFTER 17+ YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA.

2. WITH HER HUSBAND JUNIOR BY HER SIDE AND THE SUPPORT OF HER SON RODNEY, PO 1 HALL ENROLLED AS A SIGINT SPECIALIST IN CORNER BROOK, NEWFOUNDLAND ON 19 AUGUST 2004. DURING HER CAREER SHE SERVED AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT CANADA AND ABROAD INCLUDING: CANADIAN FORCES STATION LEITRIM (X2), CFIOG OUTCAN HQ DETACHMENT HAWAII, AND CANADIAN FORCES RECRUITING CENTRE DETACHMENT ST JOHN’S, NEWFOUNDLAND. PO 1 HALL ALSO DEPLOYED ON HMCS WINNIPEG AS A CRYPTOLOGIC DIRECT SUPPORT ELEMENT OPERATOR IN SUPPORT OF TASK FORCE STANDING NATO MARITIME GROUP ONE – OP SEXTANT.

3. HAVING HELD A VARIETY OF POSITIONS THROUGHOUT HER CAREER INCLUDING ICIS OPERATOR, ANALYSIS AND REPORTING SENIOR REPORT WRITER, END PRODUCT REPORT SUPERVISOR, MARITIME ANALYST, CAF RECRUITER, AND DUTY WATCH OFFICER, PO 1 HALL IS GRATEFUL FOR THE MANY WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO HAVE WORKED ALONGSIDE HER AND SUPPORTED HER THROUGHOUT THE YEARS. SHE IS ESPECIALLY THANKFUL FOR THE UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT OF HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

4. UPON RETIREMENT, PO 1 HALL AND HER HUSBAND JUNIOR WILL BE RETURNING HOME TO NEWFOUNDLAND TO LIVE THE GOOD LIFE AND SPEND PRECIOUS TIME WITH RODNEY, MELISSA, AND DAMON AS WELL AS THEIR EXTENDED FAMILY.

5. DUE TO ONGOING COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, THERE WILL BE NO FORMAL DEPART WITH DIGINITY CEREMONY TO CELEBRATE PO 1 HALL’S DEPARTURE FROM CAF.
