1. SERGEANT STEVEN CHAMAILLARD WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 02 FEBRUARY 2021 AFTER 36 PLUS YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA.

2. SERGEANT CHAMAILLARD JOINED THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES AS A FIELD ENGINEER WITHIN THE PRIMARY RESERVE ON 03 DECEMBER 1984. WITH A SCIENCES DIPLOMA, HE TRANSFERRED TO THE REGULAR FORCES AS A RADIO TECHNICIAN ON 01 NOVEMBER 1990. AFTER HE COMPLETED HIS TRADE QUALIFICATIONS, HE WAS POSTED TO CFB NORTH BAY, ON. HE BECAME AN ATIS TECHNICIAN IN 1995 AS A RESULT OF THE C&E TRADES REVISION. AFTER A BRIEF TRANSITION TO SUPPLEMENTARY RESERVE FROM 2001 TO 2005, HE RESUMED HIS EMPLOYMENT WITH THE MILITARY AND WAS POSTED TO CFS LEITRIM DETACHMENT MASSET, BC. HIS NEXT POSTING BROUGHT HIM BACK TO CFB NORTH BAY IN 2009 WHERE HE WAS PROMOTED TO MCPL IN 2012. HIS EXTENSIVE AND PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE PROVIDED HIM WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE POSTED IN 2015 TO CANADIAN CONTINGENT 1ST AIR FORCE CONUS NORAD REGION HEADQUARTERS, TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, FLORIDA. UPON HIS PROMOTION TO SGT IN DECEMBER 2016, HE RETURNED TO CANADA IN 2017 WHERE HE SPENT THE REMAINDER OF HIS CAREER IN CFB NORTH BAY, ON.

3. THE SUPPORT OF SGT CHAMAILLARD’S WIFE CHERYL, HIS SON SAWYER AND HIS DAUGHTER ALEANA HELPED HIM THROUGH HIS MILITARY CAREER. HE IS PLANNING TO ENJOY A PEACEFUL RETIREMENT WITH HIS WIFE IN MASSET, BC.
