1. ON 18 OCT 2017 AFTER 27+ YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE WO G. BROWN WILL BE RETIRING FROM THE CAF.

2. HE ORIGINALLY ENROLLED IN THE CAF ON 29 FEB 1988 AT CFRC WINDSOR, ONTARIO AS A COMMUNICATOR RESEARCH OPERATOR AND SERVED UNTIL AUG 1991 BEFORE CHOOSING TO PURSUE GREENER PASTURES.

3. IN MAY 1993 G. RE-ENROLLED INTO THE CAF AS A VEHICLE TECH WHERE HE PROUDLY SERVED THE RCEME BRANCH UNTIL 2003, AT WHICH TIME HE DECIDED THE LURE OF THE COMMS RSCH WORLD WAS TOO STRONG AND RETURNED TO THE TRADE.

4. DURING HIS CAREER HE HAS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: CFRS CORNWALLIS, CFSCE KINGSTON, CFS LEITRIM (10 YRS), MAINTENANCE COY CFB GAGETOWN (7 YRS) 4TH AIR DEFENCE REGIMENT CFB GAGETOWN (3 YRS), CFLS ASTICOU (1 YR), CFIOG OUTCAN DET VIRGINIA (3 YRS) AND CFNOC OTTAWA (3 YRS).

5. HE HAS ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY FOR SEVERAL OPERATIONAL DEPLOYMENTS INCLUDING POSTINGS TO CFS ALERT (1990-91), THE GOLAN HEIGHTS, CAMP ZOUANI ISRAEL, IN SUPPORT OF THE UNITED NATIONS DISENGAGEMENT OBSERVER FORCE (ROTO 66 2000-01), OP ALTAIR (HMCS CALGARY 08), AND TO KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN IN SUPPORT OF OP ATHENA (2010).

6. WO BROWN WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THE TIME TO THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE HIGHLY DEDICATED AND PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUALS THAT HE HAS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO CROSS PATHS WITH OVER THE YEARS. HE WILL REMAIN IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION WITH HIS WIFE, SUSANNE WHERE HE HAS ATTAINED EMPLOYMENT WITH THE PUBLIC SERVICE.

7. WO BROWN HAS CHOSEN TO DEPART THE CAF IN THE SAME MANNER AS WHICH HE JOINED, WITH LITTLE FANFARE AND NO FORMAL CEREMONY.
