1. WARRANT OFFICER J. COUTURE WILL BE RETIRING FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 13 FEBRUARY 2018 AFTER 16 PLUS YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES.

2. BORN IN LEVIS, QUEBEC WO COUTURE ENROLLED IN THE CAF AT CFRC QUEBEC, QUEBEC ON 28 SEPTEMBER 2001. FOLLOWING HIS BASIC TRAINING IN ST-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU AND COMMUNICATOR RESEARCH OPERATOR OCCUPATIONAL TRAINING AT CFSCE, CFB KINGSTON, HE WAS POSTED TO CFS LEITRIM FROM 2004 UNTIL 2010. DURING THAT TIME, HE WAS EMPLOYED IN VARIOUS POSITIONS BUT MOST NOTABLY AS A SATCOM ANALYST AND GLIMMER OPERATOR. WHILE EMPLOYED AS THE LATTER, FROM 2006 TILL 2010, HE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPLETE ONE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE VISIT (TAV) AND TWO DEPLOYMENTS TO AFGHANISTAN WITH CANADIAN SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCES COMMAND. FROM 2010 TILL 2013, HE HAD A REWARDING POSTING TO THE CANADIAN FORCES INFORMATION GROPU DETECHMENT GEORGIA. FINALLY, FOLLOWING A BRIEF POSTING TO CANADIAN FORCES SIGNALS INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS CENTRE, HE WAS POSTED TO THE CANADIAN FORCES NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTRE IN 2014 UNTIL HIS RELEASE.

3. WO COUTURE AND HIS FAMILY WILL REMAIN IN THE OTTAWA AREA WHERE HE HAS ACCEPTED A POSITION WITH THE PUBLIC SERVICE AT CFNOC.

4. AN INFORMAL RETIREMENT GATHERING WILL BE HELD IN HIS  HONOUR ON 13 FEB 2018, STARTING AT 12H00, AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT. THOSE WISHING TO ATTEND ARE REQUESTED TO CONTACT
