1. AFTER 24 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE, WO JAMES DAVIS’ LAST DAY IN UNIFORM WILL BE 14 JUNE 2021.

2. WO JAMES DAVIS WAS BORN IN OSHAWA, ONTARIO. HE JOINED THE CAF IN JULY 1989 AND WAS SENT TO CFRS CORNWALLIS FOR BASIC TRAINING. UPON COMPLETION OF HIS TRAINING, HE WAS POSTED TO CFFS ESQUIMALT FOR TRAINING TO BECOME NAVAL ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN (TACTICAL). JAMES WAS POSTED TO HMCS SASKATCHEWAN, HMCS MACKENZIE AND HMCS KOOTNAY BEFORE HE LEFT THE NAVY IN 1995. AFTER A SHORT GAP FROM THE MILITARY SERVICE, HE REJOINED THE CAF IN 2002, THIS TIME IN AIRFORCE AND BECAME AN ATIS TECH. HE WAS POSTED TO 22 WING NORTH BAY AND WORKED AS AN FYQ-93 TECH, AND AS PART OF THE TRAINING CELL FOR BCS-F AND ICS. WO DAVIS HAS WORKED IN NUMEROUS WINGS AND BASES ACROSS CANADA DURING HIS 24 YEARS CAREER. IN 2007, HE WAS PROMOTED TO MCPL AND POSTED TO CFB COLD LAKE. HE ENJOYED HIS POSTING AS TRAINING COORDINATOR AND IT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR FOR 4 YEARS. HE WAS
THEN POSTED TO CFSCE KINGSTON AS INSTRUCTOR FOR ATIS TECHS, WHERE HE WAS PROMOTED TO SGT. HE WENT BACK TO CFB NORTH BAY, THIS TIME AS ISS TECH FOR 1 YEAR. WO DAVIS WAS POSTED TO 8ACCS IN 2014, AND WORKED AS THE AIRFIELD SUPERVISOR. PROMOTED TO HIS PRESENT RANK AND CONTINUED AT 8ACCS AS THE NAVAIDS WO. HIS FINAL POSTING WAS TO 8OSS CIS FLIGHT IN JULY 2020 AS THE RCS MAINTENANCE WARRANT OFFICER UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE MILITARY SERVICE.

3. JAMES AND HIS WIFE ANNETTE EXPECT TO RETIRE IN TRENTON, ONTARO, AND ENJOY HIS RELAXING RETIREMENT LIFE.
