1. WARRANT OFFICER STEPHAN (STEVE) DAVID ZYBA, CD WILL BE RETIRING 04 FEBRUARY 2020 AFTER 20 YEARS OF SERVICE.

2. WO ZYBA JOINED THE CAF AS AN ATIS TECH ON 07 OCTOBER 1999. UPON COMPLETION OF BASIC TRAINING, POET AND TRADES TRAINING HE HAD AN ADVENTUROUS CAREER WITH NUMEROUS POSTINGS. HE WAS POSTED TO CFB ESQUIMALT, 3 CDSG SIGNAL SQUADRON EDMONTON, AETE COLD LAKE, CFJSR KINGSTON, CFEWC OTTAWA AND FINALLY BACK TO 4 OSS CIS FLT COLD LAKE. HE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO DEPLOY ON OP PODIUM FOR THE OLYMPICS IN 2010 AND DEPLOYED ON OP IMPACT (KUWAIT) 2019. HE WAS AWARDED HIS CANADIAN FORCES DECORATION AND THE QUEENS DIAMOND JUBILEE MEDAL.

3. IN ORDER TO STAY PUT IN ONE PLACE FOR AWHILE, STEVE HAS ACCEPTED A POSITION WITH SHARED SERVICES CANADA (SSC) IN COLD LAKE, WHERE HE WILL CONTINUE HIS UNWAIVERING SUPPORT TO 4 WING AND THE RCAF.

4. A SMALL GATHERING WILL BE HELD TO CELEBRATE WO ZYBA’S SERVICE TO THE CAF ON A TIME/DATE TO BE SET SHORTLY.
