1. LIEUTENANT-COLONEL (LCOL) BRIAN MOSHER WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (CAF) ON 12 AUGUST 2020 AFTER 28 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE.

2. LCOL MOSHER ENROLLED IN THE CAF IN JUNE 1992 AND GRADUATED FROM THE ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE OF CANADA IN 1996. AT THE END OF THE SIGNAL OFFICER COURSE AT THE CANADIAN FORCES SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS, HE REMAINS IN KINGSTON AND WORKS IN THE 79TH COMMUNICATIONS REGIMENT. ITS SUBSEQUENT POSTINGS INCLUDE THE MARITIME FORCES ATLANTIC (MARLANT) HEADQUARTERS (HQ), THE ORGANIZATION OF THE DIRECTOR LAND – COMMAND AND INFORMATION (DLCI), THE CANADIAN FORCES INFORMATION OPERATIONS GROUP (CFIOG) HQ, LIAISON OFFICER POSITIONS FOR THE US CYBERCOMMAND AND COMMANDER OF THE CANADIAN FORCES NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER (CFNOC). HE ENDED HIS CAREER IN THE TEAM OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL – CYBERSPACE (DG CYBER).

3. LCOL MOSHER IS GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE FRIENDSHIPS HE MADE DURING HIS CAREER, AND WOULD LIKE TO GIVE SPECIAL THANKS TO HIS FAMILY FOR THEIR UNWAVERING SUPPORT THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER.

4. LCOL MOSHER IS HAPPY TO START HIS NEW CAREER IN PUBLIC SERVICE AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE PART OF THE DG CYBER TEAM.

5. BECAUSE OF THE CURRENT SITUATION, THERE WILL BE NO DEPART WITH DIGNITY CEREMONY AT THIS TIME. WHEN CONDITIONS ALLOW IT, A SMALL GATHERING WITH THE CLOSEST FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES WILL BE ORGANIZED.
