RETIREMENT – LIEUTENANT COLONEL CHAD JOHANNES, CD, 00341 – SIGS

1. AFTER MORE THAN 25 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA, LIEUTENANT COLONEL CHAD JOHANNES WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 19 DECEMBER 2022.

2. LCOL JOHANNES CAREER HAS SEEN HIM SERVE IN A NUMBER OF COMMAND AND STAFF POSITIONS THROUGHOUT CANADA, INCLUDING STOPS IN EDMONTON, KINGSTON, AND OTTAWA. PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE REPRESENTING EACH OF THESE REGIONS IN REGIONAL AND NATIONAL HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS, AS WELL AS TWO OPERATIONAL DEPLOYMENTS TO AFGHANISTAN AND SOUTH SUDAN. HE IS EXTRMELY PROUD TO HAVE SERVED HIS COUNTRY WITH SOME OF THE MOST TALENTED CANADIANS AND SINCERELY APPRECIATES THE SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT AND INSPIRATION THROUGHOUT HIS MILITARY JOURNEY.

3.  LCOL JOHANNES WILL REMAIN IN THE OTTAWA AREA WITH HIS WIFE, CAROLYN, AND WILL GENERALLY BE FOUND AT THE HOCKEY RINKS WITH HIS THREE SONS ETHAN, DYLAN AND KEAGAN.

4. A RETIREMENT FUNCTION WILL TAKE PLACE ON 01 DECEMBER 2022 AT 3 BRASSEURS, 565 KANATA AVE, KANATA ONTARIO AT 1130. CONGRATULATORY MESSAGES, ANECDOTES AND RSVPS CAN BE SENT TO LCDR ADAM DUNN AT ADAM.DUNN(AT)FORCES.GC.CA NO LATER THAN 23 NOVEMBER 2022.
