1. SERGEANT J. CHAISSON WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES, 12 JUN 2019, AFTER 21+ YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE.

2. SERGEANT J. CHAISSONENROLLED WITH THE NOVA SCOTIA HIGHLANDERS (NORTH) IN DEC OF 1997 IN PICTOU, NOVA SCOTIA. DURING HIS TIME WITH THE HIGHLANDERS, HE PARTICIPATED IN MANY EXCITING EXERCISES IN ALDERSHOT, N.S. AND GAGETOWN, N.B. HE ASSISTED IN THE RECOVERY EFFORT DURING THE SWISSAIR FLIGHT 111 CRASH OFF THE COAST OF NOVA SCOTIA (1998) AND THE CLEANUP FOLLOWING HURRICANE JUAN IN HALIFAX (2003). IN 2004, HE SAW THE BIG BLUE LIGHT AND TRANSFERRED TO THE REGULAR FORCE WHERE HE COMPLETED HIS PERFORMANCE ORIENTED ELECTRONICS TRAINING PROGRAM (POET) FOLLOWED BY ATIS QL3 TO BECOME PART OF THE BEST TECHNICIAN TRADE IN THE CAF. HE ENJOYED POSTINGS TO CFB WINNIPEG (2005 – 2012), CFSU COLORADO SPRINGS (2012-2016) AND CFS LEITRIM (2016 – PRESENT). HE DEPLOYED TO KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN AS PART OF THE CANADIAN HERON UAV DETACHMENT IN 2011 AND TWICE TO CFS ALERT AS THE TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR.

3. SERGEANT J. CHAISSON, ALONG WITH HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN (NAMES REMOVED 2023 APRIL 20 BY ADMIN), WILL REMAIN IN THE NCR WHERE HE WILL BE PURSUING EMPLOYMENT WITH THE FEDERAL PUBLIC SERVICE.

4. A DEPART WITH DIGNITY LUNCHEON WILL BE HELD AT BIG RIG KITCHEN AND BREWERY, 1980 OGILVIE ROAD #115 ON THURSDAY MAY 16 COMMENCING AT 1130. COST (PARKING, MEAL, ETC.) WILL BE AT PERSONAL EXPENSE.
