With a remarkable journey spanning military service, law enforcement, and community leadership, HCol Lloyd’s contributions have left an indelible mark on the Canadian Armed Forces and the wider community. Military Service: A Legacy of Dedication Born in 1951 in the United Kingdom, HCol Lloyd’s military journey began in 1972 as an infantry Private in the 5th Battalion, Royal Anglian Regiment. Over his 37-year military career, he rose to the rank of Major, contributing significantly as Commanding Officer of three Signal units and a Dispute Resolution Centre in CFB Petawawa. His service extended internationally, with roles in Germany and Hong Kong, showcasing his commitment to the armed forces. Law Enforcement Expertise: Border Security to International Crime In the realm of law enforcement, HCol Lloyd’s resume is equally impressive. Recognition of Excellence: C&E Branch Members Coined During NORAD CBC2 Demonstration at 22 Wing North Bay

Celebrating exceptional achievements in the modernization of tactical command and control capabilities, members of the Communication and Electronics (C&E) Branch were honored during two presentations held at 22 Wing North Bay during the introduction of NORAD’s new Cloud-Based Command and Control (CBC2) System. The first presentation, held last month, saw Lieutenant-General Eric Kenny, Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), award coins of distinction to two outstanding individuals: LCol Tyler Lavigne and LCol Ryan Lizotte. In a preceding presentation, General Glen VanHerck, then Commander of NORAD, presented two additional coins to commendable Branch members, Maj Ken Mui and Maj Rebecca Peitzche, who served as the Deputy Program Director (D/PD) and Deputy Project Manager (D/PM) respectively of the CBC2 project. The Recognized C&E Branch Members: LCol Ryan Lizotte:Currently employed at ADM(MAT) Radar and Communications Systems (R&CS), responsible for overseeing implementation and sustainment of RCAF Command and Control Systems.
