It is with great pleasure that the C&E Branch announces its upcoming C&E Branch Home Station Charity Golf Tournament in support of our Military C&E Museum at CFB Kingston! We invite all members, non-members, friends, family and anyone from the public to attend. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet and socialize with current and retired members of the C&E community and of course, play some golf and enjoy a nice BBQ lunch in the name of charity! And who knows, you may even win some prizes! This fundraising event is intended to support our Military C&E Museum at CFB Kingston. The C&E Museum is an important means to document and display our Military C&E heritage and also promotes the pride and confidence of our sailors, soldiers and aviators. When we first qualified to wear the hat badge of the C&E Branch and its predecessor organizations we became members of a special community. Our community is constantly growing and now includes over 7000 serving members and 50,000 retired members, and our key to bringing our community together is our CMCEN website. CMCEN keeps our community up to date on current C&E events, programs and services for retiring members, those in support of our veterans and their families and widely celebrating our members’ successes. Membership to CMCEN is free and vital in keeping you up to date with current news and information as well as connecting members of our community that will allow us to preserve, educate and celebrate our past, socialize and care for each other in the present and prepare for the future. The Landing in Sicily reunion is being held on 10 July at the Belleville Armouries, the HQ of The Hastings & Prince Edward Regiment (Hast&PER). The Armories are located in downtown Belleville,ON at 187 Pinnacle St. A parade will be held on site followed by a “typical” WW2 Italian lunch comprising spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, dessert, and coffee at a cost of $10 cash. The bar is open and drinks can be bought at regular Mess prices. Red and White wine is available free of charge. Schedule: 1000hrs – Meet and greet at Belleville armouries. 1030hrs – Parade forms up in three (3) contingents in two (2) ranks. The RCR , Hast&PER, and 48th Highlanders. Parade Commander will be Col Dick Read 48th Highland Regimental Association. 1100hrs – Service begins led by Rev. Brad Beale. HCol Ken Armstrong will read the lesson. 1200hrs – Parade marches back into the armouries, and after dismissal, can purchase tickets with $10 cash for the traditional meal of spaghetti and meat balls, garlic bread, dessert, and coffee.
